ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- John H. Erickson, Plano, Texas, has developed a dosage control apparatus. The inventor was issued U.S. Patent No. 7,588,046 on Sept. 15.
The patent has been assigned to Advanced Neuromodulation Systems Inc., Plano.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention is directed to a dose control apparatus. The apparatus has two armatures pressed against a valve seat by at least one spring. A coil induces a magnetic field that motivates the armatures against the force of the spring, thereby opening the valve. The armatures may move along a common axis in opposite directions.
