ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- Edward DesPlaines and Cliff Perdion, both of Cheshire, Conn., Robert Shock and James Gruenbacher, both of Meriden, Conn., William Bertuleit of Berlin, Conn., Joe Camardo of Newington, Conn., Mike Cotteleer of West Chicago, Ill., Richard Jacaruso of Baton Rouge, La., Terry Paradis of Bristol, Conn., and Steve Weiss of Naugatuck, Conn., have developed a system for certifying a concentration of gas in a cylinder. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,598,494 on Oct. 6.

The patent has been assigned to Airgas Inc., Cheshire, Conn.
