ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- Patrick D. Jordan and Hai Dong, both of Austin, Texas, Hugh W. Johnson of Cedar Park, Texas, Prakash U. Kartha of Round Rock, Texas, Walton L. Fehr of Mundelein, Ill., Samuel M. Levenson of Arlington Heights, Ill., and Donald J. Remboski of Dearborn, Mich., have developed a method for tunneling standard bus protocol messages. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,599,377 on Oct. 6.

The patent has been assigned to Temic Automotive of North America Inc., Deer Park, Ill.
