Article: SME seeks nominations for Distinguished Members

DISTINGUISH MEMBERS

The SME Distinguished Member award was initiated in 1975. It honors those members who achieve distinction worthy of special recognition by SME. No more than four Distinguished Members may be elected each year, excluding the automatic election of the SME past president.

Nominations must be made by Dec. 1 of each year. The Distinguished Member Award Nominating Committee meets during the SME Annual Meeting to select up to four nominees, and the SME Board of Directors formally approves the awards.
