SME DIVISION SCHOLARSHIPS
Tyler J. Adler
Tyler J. Adler graduated from the Mining Engineering and Management program at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSM&T). Adler worked in the coal industry for four summers with Rio Tinto at the Cordero Rojo, Antelope and Jacobs Ranch mines and with Peabody Energy at ils North Antelope Rochelle Mine. He was able to drive the haul trucks, do surveying, work in the blasting environment, work with mine design software and perform small engineering projects.
Adler has served as treasurer and president of the SME student chapter and is a member of the Society of Explosives Engineers.
