Kenneth N. Hugendubler, CPA, always thought he could do more with his love of animals. He volunteered in 1997 to be a dog walker for the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area Inc. (HSHA), and, less man a decade later, became president of the organization's board and helped save it from failure. For his leadership at the Humane Society and his involvement with numerous other community initiatives, Hugendubler is the 2009 recipient of PICPA's Distinguished Public Service Award.
