ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 12 -- Curt B. Campbell of Hercules, Calif., and Gilles Sinquin of Saint Martin du Manoir, France, have developed a process for preparing a synthetic petroleum sulfonate. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,598,414 on Oct. 06.

The patent has been assigned to Chevron Oronite Co. LLC, San Ramon, Calif.
