ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 12 -- Jia Chen and Christian Lavoie, both of Ossining, N.Y., Phaedon Avouris of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., Roy A. Carruthers of Stormville, N.Y., Hon-Sum Philip Wong of Palo Alto, Calif., and Christophe G. M. M. Detavernier of Ghent, Belgium, have developed a complementary metal oxide semiconductor device. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,598,516 on Oct. 6.

The patent has been assigned to International Business Machines Corp., Armonk, N.Y.
