GENEVA, Oct. 12 -- Akiko Tonomura and Tsuyoshi Mitake, both of Japan, have developed an ultrasonograph.
The patent has been assigned to Hitachi Medical Corp., Tokyo.
According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the invention relates to an "ultrasonograph enabling classification of elastic images according to elastic data on the elastic images and image information and objective evaluation of the progress of disease.
