Article: PUBLIC MEETING SET TO DISCUSS JOPLIN PARKS, RECREATION FACILITIES, OPPORTUNITIES

JOPLIN, Mo., Oct. 12 -- The city of Joplin issued the following news release:

Citizens are invited to provide their input regarding the facilities and recreational opportunities offered through the Joplin Parks and Recreation Department by participating in a Public Meeting on Monday, October 26, 2009. The meeting will be held at 6 pm in the Conference Room of the Joplin Athletic Complex, 3301 West 1st Street.

The City has also distributed a survey asking for public input about these topics. The survey is part of the October 2009 issue of The Citizen, the City's quarterly newsletter that is mailed to all households. The introduction of the survey discusses the need for this type of ...
