Article: REP. CAMP, U.S. HOUSE PASS IRAN SANCTIONS ENABLING ACT

WASHINGTON, Oct. 14 -- Rep. David L. Camp, R-Mich. (4th CD), issued the following news release:

As more state, local governments, education institutions, and private institutions look to pull investments from companies that support the increasingly hostile government of Iran, the U.S. House today passed the Iran Sanctions Enabling Act of 2009.

U.S. Rep. Dave Camp co-sponsored and voted for the legislation, saying, "It is time to show Iran that the U.S. and this Congress will not tolerate rogue actions that further threaten the stability of the Middle East. This act helps Americans get their money out of and keep it out of a country that seems intent on developing its nuclear ambitions."
