GENEVA, Oct. 08 -- Andrew Ishak, the U.S., has developed a dual-filter ophthalmic lens to reduce risk of macular degeneration.

According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, "An improved dual-filter lens for protective eyewear that combines a first filter for blocking essentially 100 per cent of UV light, and second filter for filtering blue light.
