NORFOLK, Va., Oct. 27 -- Old Dominion University issued the following news release:
Old Dominion University is looking for students, staff and faculty who might have a few hours to spend to help out a great cause.
In celebration of Homecoming 2009, a team of ODU workers will help Habitat for Humanity start to build a home at a site on campus and later erect it on a lot in Lambert's Point for a young family.
Beginning with a kickoff event at noon on Monday, Nov. 2, construction on the house will start at a site on the corner of 47th Street and Killam Avenue. Initial work on the walls and other house components will take place here, but the final construction will be done at the home's ...
