ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- Christopher Cavallaro of Lakeville, Mass., and Michael D. Jordan of East Greenwich, R.I., have developed a golf ball with co-injected cover. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,604,551 on Oct. 20.
The patent has been assigned to Acushnet Co., Fairhaven, Mass.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention is directed towards a multi-layered golf ball cover, formed by a sandwich injection molding process, wherein the multi-layered cover comprises an inner layer, an outer layer, and an intermediate layer sandwiched between the inner and outer ...
