ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 29 -- Philip J. Ehrhart of Narvon, Pa., and Douglas R. Otto of New Holland, Pa., have developed a header height control system. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,603,837 on Oct. 20.
The patent has been assigned to CNH America LLC, New Holland.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system and apparatus for controlling height of a header of a work machine such as an agricultural windrowing machine or a harvesting machine, which includes height control cylinders jointly or individually operable for raising or lowering the opposite ends of a header to achieve a desired overall height or angle of tilt in relation to the ...
