A personal reflection on shifting perceptions about vulnerability

The idea for this article came from a recent email conversation I had with a health visitor colleague, which led me to reflect on vulnerability and my changing perspective on the word and its meaning. 1 want to share some of my reflections and to challenge the notion of vulnerability as an illness, as something that needs treatment or fixing in some way. I want to argue that vulnerability is part of us all and the more we are able to own our own vulnerability, the more fully are we able to live our own lives and the more we can help our clients.
