London, Oct. 29 -- A steel plant worker has instantly gained the status of a rockstar after the 'angry' song he posted on YouTube when he lost his job became a hit.

The 49-year-old Christian de Mitri, from the Lorraine region of eastern France, penned the track and recorded the song at home and uploaded it on YouTube.

The song, written in tribute to his former colleagues at the Gandrange steel plant, which was shuttered in March, echoes the widespread resentment in France over job losses and the predicament of those now roaming about aimlessly.
