ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 29 -- Christopher John Shugg, Apex, N.C., has developed a method of motion detector for a mobile device. The inventor was issued U.S. Patent No. 7,608,050 on Oct. 27.
The patent has been assigned to Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ), Lund, Sweden.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A portable electronic device comprises a motion sensor to detect motion and to generate motion data, and an activity monitor to detect user activity based on said motion data.
