ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 29 -- Amit Kapoor, Palo Alto, Calif., has developed a customizable public key infrastructure. The inventor was issued U.S. Patent No. 7,610,484 on Oct. 27.
The patent has been assigned to Certicom Corp., Mississauga, Calif.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A public key infrastructure comprises a client side to request and utilize certificates in communication across a network and a server side to administer issuance and maintenance of said certificates.
