TYLER, Texas, Oct. 29 -- The University of Texas at Tyler issued the following news release:

Seventeen students at The University of Texas at Tyler are charter members of the rechartered Xi of Texas alumni chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society on campus.

The rechartering ceremony was held earlier this month during the 2009 Texas Leadership Conference.

Charter members, listed by hometown, are:

ALBA-Brandon L. Bohannan.

ARP-Elizabeth S. Svoboda.

ATHENS-Cassie M. Keys.

BIG SANDY-Zachary S. White.
