GENEVA, Oct. 30 -- Christiaan Theodorus Wilhelmus Lahaije and Alastair Wise, both of Netherlands, Jean Pierre Jules Baekelandt, Belgium, have developed a method of manufacturing a structural aluminium alloy part.
The patent has been assigned to Aleris Aluminum Duffel BVBA, Duffel, Belgium.
According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization: "The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of forming a structural part from a 7xxx- series aluminium alloy sheet, said structural part formed in a shaping operation using a strip of rolled aluminium alloy sheet, the method comprising the following steps cutting the aluminium alloy sheet to obtain an aluminium ...
