COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 30 -- Gov. Ted Strickland, D-Ohio, has issued the following news release:

Ohio Governor Ted Strickland announced today appointments to several state boards and commissions.

The State Board of Education exercises, under the acts of the General Assembly, supervision of the system of public education in the state.

Juanita Sanchez, of Fremont, has served as a paraprofessional bilingual aide for the Fremont City School District since 2007. She previously served as the assistant director of the foundation at Terra State Community College from 2005-2006 and as an academic advisor at Terra State Community College from 2002-2005.
