LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Oct. 30 -- The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality announced the following event:

In an effort to boost the Natural State's economy and to enhance its environment, the Arkansas Recovery Office and the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) announced plans today to award nearly $1.5 million to public entities and private businesses across Arkansas. These funds are to be used to pay for diesel-engine replacements and improvements.

The financial assistance comes from ADEQ's Reduce Emissions from Diesels program, known as "Go RED!" Funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the program operates with money received through the American Recovery ...
