MORGANTOWN, W.Va., Nov. 2 -- West Virginia University issued the following news release:

West Virginia University senior linebacker Reed Williams has been named to the 2009 National Scholar-Athlete class and will vie as a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, endowed by HealthSouth, as announced today by The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame.
