ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 4 -- Wolfgang Mucke of Berlin, and Mike Dietrich of Bornow, Germany, have developed a rotary selector. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,609,138 on Oct. 27.
The patent has been assigned to BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeraete GmbH, Munich, Germany.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention concerns a rotary selector as control device for switching on and off and automatic control of a number of different program steps of electrical appliances such as washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers and the like.
