ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 4 -- James Norris Dieffenderfer of Apex, N.C., Thomas Andrew Sartorius of Raleigh, N.C., Thomas Philip Speier of Holly Springs, N.C., and Richard Gerard Hofmann of Cary, N.C., have developed a method and apparatus for performing an atomic semaphore operation.
