ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 4 -- Carl Wood of Aberdeenshire, Great Britain has developed an apparatus for sealing substantially. The inventor was issued U.S. Patent No. 7,611,120 on Nov. 3.
The patent has been assigned to Elmar Services Ltd., Aberdeen, Great Britain.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An apparatus and a method of substantially sealing a throughbore of a tubular with a line running therethrough. The method comprises the steps of: (a) substantially enclosing the line and sealing a portion of the throughbore around the line using an enclosing means; (b) injecting a fluid that contains solid particles in the region of the line; and (c) ...
