Article: WHITE HOUSE TO HOLD A NATIONAL HIV, AIDS COMMUNITY DISCUSSION IN THE VIRGIN ISLANDS

WASHINGTON, Nov. 4 -- Del. Donna M.C. Christen-Christensen, D-V.I., issued the following news release:

Virgin Islands residents will have an opportunity to take part in the long-awaited National AIDS strategy when the White House hosts a community discussion by teleconference on St. Thomas and St. Croix on Monday, Nov. 9.

The meeting, to be teleconferenced by the University of the Virgin Islands, is one of a series of events being held across the country this year by the White House Office of National AIDS Policy (ONAP) in an effort to fulfill President Obama's pledge to develop a plan for stopping the spread of HIV in the United States and improving the health of people living with ...
