INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 4 -- Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis issued the following news release:
Dr. G. Marie Swanson has been named Associate Vice Chancellor for Public Health, announced IUPUI Chancellor Charles R. Bantz, pending approval by the IU Board of Trustees. The title is an addition to the one Swanson already has Chair of the Department of Public Health in the IU School of Medicine.
The additional title is being conferred as Swanson prepares to lead efforts to form a School of Public Health at IUPUI.
Last May, Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie announced a plan to form two schools of public health, one at PUI and the other at Bloomington.
