FORT SCOTT, Kan., Nov. 4 -- Fort Scott Community College issued the following news release:
The winners for the 21st Annual Gordon Parks International Photography Competition have been announced. 98 entries were received this year from both amateur and professional photographers from all over the United States and several foreign countries. The finalists were judged by Toni Parks daughter of Gordon Parks along with Bobbi Baker Burrows, Photography editor at Life magazine, and photographer Adger Cowans.
Photographer Sonya Hebert, of Dallas, TX, took first place honors and a check for $800 with her photograph, "At the Edge of Life #3." Hebert is a staff photographer at the Dallas Morning ...
