LAWRENCE, Kan., Nov. 4 -- The University of Kansas issued the following news release:
University of Kansas sociology professor Joey Sprague is the first recipient of the E. Jackson Baur Professorship in Sociology.
Sprague will hold the title for one year and will receive a one-course reduction in her teaching responsibilities and a $5,000 stipend to support her research.
"I am very pleased that we can honor Professor Sprague's long time commitment to KU sociology and to help advance her research agenda," said Bill Staples, chair of the department. "This recognition is very fitting."
