HARTFORD, Conn., Nov. 4 -- Connecticut state Senate Republicans issued the following news release:

State Sen. John A. Kissel, R-Enfield, today appointed Enfield Mayor Scott Kaupin to serve on the Criminal Justice Policy Advisory Commission's Correctional Staff Health and Safety Subcommittee (Subcommittee). Kaupin was selected to fill the vacant position on the subcommittee newly formed pursuant to PA 09-223.
