LONDON, Nov. 5 -- The Office of Department of Agriculture and Rural Development issued the following press release:
Douglas McKenzie, who farms near Moy, has been selected by fellow farmers as the Clover Monitor farmer in the Co. Armagh and Co. Tyrone areas.
The initial meeting of the Monitor Farm Group took place in early August. This gave the group members a chance to familiarise themselves with Douglas's farm and farming practices.
Douglas, who farms a 75 Aubrac suckler cow herd on 86 hectares, has a keen interest in grassland management. Significant reseeding has taken place over the past 3-4 years, with an area of red clover established for silage production. Due to the volatility of ...
