PLANO, Texas, Nov. 3 -- The city of Plano issued the following press release:

Plano City Manager Tom Muehlenbeck has announced the retirement of Deputy City Manager James R. (Rod) Hogan, effective January 29, 2010, closing out a stellar 35-year career of municipal service to the Plano community.

"The impact Rod has had on our community is mirrored by the quality of life that our citizens enjoy every day," said Mr. Muehlenbeck. "It is with regret that I make this announcement but I celebrate the legacy of services and programming that he will be leaving behind that will continue to propel us forward."
