LOS ANGELES, Nov. 5 -- The University of California at Los Angeles issued the following press release:
Center X, the UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Studies' center for teacher education and professional development, has been awarded three grants worth $12 million to fund programs designed to support teachers' professional development and boost student achievement at low-income schools.
The grants, from the U.S. Department of Education and the state's commission on postsecondary education, come on the heels of a $2.5 million grant awarded to the school and Center X by the National Science Foundation in September to fund a professional development program for computer ...
