NEWARK, N.J., Nov. 5 -- The U.S. Department of Justice's Federal Bureau of Investigation Newark Field Office issued the following press release:
FBI bank robbery agents were kept busy Tuesday, November 3, with two simultaneous bank robbery jobs in Bergen County. The first was a robbery attempt that occurred at Bank of America, 210 Route 17, Mahwah, New Jersey at approximately 11:45 a.m. Both FBI agents and Mahwah police responded. The robber, who used a demand note, was apprehended by Mahwah Police.
As FBI agents were responding to the Mahwah robbery, they received word of a separate, unrelated, takeover-style robbery at the Wachovia Bank located at 1 Johnson Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey ...
