STATESBORO, Ga., Nov. 5 -- Georgia Southern University issued the following news release:
Georgia Southern University Chair and Professor of Nursing, Jean Bartels, Ph.D., RN, was selected as the 2009 recipient of the Sister Bernadette Armiger Award, the highest honor given by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN).
Bartels, who served as the President of the AACN from 2004-2006 and on the Board of Directors for 10 years, is one of only 14 leaders to ever receive the national award. She received the award at the AACNs fall meeting in Washington, D.C.
