Article: HOUSE APPROVES CONGRESSMAN CHILDERS' APPROPRIATIONS REQUEST FOR ICC NURSING PROGRAM

WASHINGTON, July 24 -- Rep. Travis Childers, D-Miss., (1st CD) issued the following news release:

Today, the U.S. House of Representatives approved $700,000 of an appropriations request submitted by Congressman Travis Childers (D-MS) to help fund the consolidation of Itawamba Community College's Tupelo and Fulton Nursing School Programs. Through its passage of the Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations bill, the House allocated funding for ICC that will help increase admissions into the Nursing School Program, provide additional nursing specialists to the region, and reduce costs.
