COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Nov. 6 -- The city of Colorado Springs issued the following press release:

The City of Colorado Springs Fleet Management Division continues to find creative ways to save money and the environment. The City of Colorado Springs and Colorado Springs Utilities have collaborated to run the largest alternative fuel program in the City?s history, while saving $330,000 between the two agencies through reduced fuel costs in 2009.

The City was recognized in 2007 for running the largest municipal Biodiesel program in the nation and this year?s program has just eclipsed that record at more than 760,000 gallons of B20 Biodiesel used year-to-date. In addition, the City?s use of ...
