ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 7 -- Francesco Memoli and Mauro Bianchi Ferri, both of Milan, Italy, Enrico Malfa of Zanica Bergamo, Italy, and Marcello Pozzi of Santa Maria Hoe' Lecco, Italy, have developed a multifunction injector for metallurgical treatment in an electric arc furnace. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,611,563 on Nov. 3.

The patent has been assigned to Techint Compagnia Tenica Internazionale S.p.A., Milan, Italy.
