ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 7 -- David Pincu of Holon, Israel, and Dror Korcharz of Bat Yam, Israel, have developed a system for providing power over ethernet. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,612,470 on Nov. 3.

The patent has been assigned to Microsemi Corp.-Analog Mixed Signal Group Ltd., Hod Hasharon, Israel.
