ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 7 -- Bruce G. Aitken and Matthew J. Dejneka, both of Corning, N.Y., Adam J. G. Ellison of Painted Post, N.Y., and Thomas E. Paulson of Groveland, Ill., have developed a high strain point glasses. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,612,004 on Nov. 3.
The patent has been assigned to Corning Inc., Corning.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A family of glasses from the rare earth alumino-silicate (REO?AlO?SiO) ternary system exhibiting high strain point and low liquidus temperatures; preferably the LaO?AlO?SiOternary system. The glasses are excellent ...
