WASHINGTON, Nov. 9 -- The office of Sen. Richard G. Lugar, R-Ind., issued the following news release:

U.S. Sen. Dick Lugar and the Indiana State Teachers Association (ISTA) are partnering for a 2nd annual statewide book drive benefiting Reach Out and Read and local schools.

The 2008 Lugar-ISTA book drive collected more than 30,000 books for Reach Out and Read, local schools and community organizations with the help of more than 30 statewide partners.

This year's book drive runs through January 15, 2010. New and gently used infant through 3rd grade books may be dropped off at any ISTA office and the following Lugar offices:
