ATLANTA, Nov. 4 -- The Georgia Department of Labor issued the following news release:

The number of employers participating in the Fountain City Classic Career Expo and Job Fair Friday, Nov. 6, in Columbus continues to increase. The event, co-sponsored by the Georgia Department of Labor, WTVM News Leader 9, and the Fountain City Classic, is now expected to attract as many as 70 employers with job openings.

The event will be held from 1-5 p.m. at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center, located at 801 Front Ave. in Columbus.

State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said that because of the large number of job seekers expected to attend, the labor department has secured 550 additional ...
