ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 10 -- Norikatsu Hattori and Hiroaki Fujita, both of Ichihara, Japan, and Hitoshi Yamamoto of Chino, Japan, have developed a liquid crystal composition. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,608,310 on Oct. 27.
The patent has been assigned to Chisso Corp., Osaka, Japan, and Chisso Petrochemical Corp., Tokyo.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention provides a liquid crystal composition that satisfies many characteristics among the characteristics such as a wide temperature range of a nematic phase, a small viscosity, a suitable optical anisotropy, a negatively large dielectric anisotropy, and a large specific ...
