ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 10 -- Kiyotaka Awatsu, Sagiri Okamura, Takumi Kishino and Yasuyuki Higashiura, all from Inagi, Japan, Takahiro Kudo of Maebashi, Japan, and Toshinori Makino of Tokyo, have developed a biometric authentication device. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,610,492 on Oct. 27.

The patent has been assigned to Fujitsu Ltd., Kawasaki, Japan, and Fujitsu Frontech Ltd., Tokyo.
