GENEVA, Nov. 10 -- Huang Tianping and James B. Crews, both of United States of America, have developed particles in oil for viscoelastic surfactant gelled fluids.
The patent has been assigned to Baker Hughes Inc., Houston.
According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization: "Fluids viscosified with viscoelastic surfactants may have their fluid loss properties improved with the presence of at least one mineral oil in combination with at least one particulate fluid loss control agent that may be an alkaline earth metal oxides, alkaline earth metal hydroxides, transition metal oxides, transition metal hydroxides, and mixtures thereof.
