GOODMAN, Miss., Nov. 10 -- Pearl River Community College issued the following news release:

Pearl River Community College women's and men's basketball teams swept MACJC non-division rival Holmes here Monday with the Lady Wildcats taking a lopsided 77-51 victory, while the Wildcats were 72-69 winners.

Both Wildcat squads improved to 2-1 overall, while HCC's women remain winless at 0-3 and its men are now 1-2.

In the women's game, Pearl River jumped out to a commanding 44-23 advantage at the intermission, then outscored the host Lady Bulldogs 33-28 in the second half to take the 26-point win.
