GENEVA, Nov. 11 -- Ann Becker and Leo Van Miert, both of Belgium, and Matthias Weismantel and Rudiger Funk, both of Germany, have developed a method for producing water-absorbing polymer particles.
The patent has been assigned to BASF SE, Ludwigshafen, Germany.
According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization: "The invention relates to a method for producing water-absorbing polymer particles, wherein a polymer gel is taken from a polymerization reactor, kept temporarily as a particulate polymer gel in a residence time container, removed by means of a first conveying device at the lower end of the residence time ...
