EAU CLAIRE, Wis., Nov. 11 -- The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire issued the following news release:

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Opera Workshop Ensemble will present two free performances of "Bel Canto: Scenes from the Masters of Italian Opera" at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16 and Nov. 17 in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.

The performances will include operatic scenes composed by famous composers Gioacchino Rossini, Gaetano Donizetti, Vincenzo Bellini and Giuseppe Verdi. The performances, to be sung in Italian with English subtitles, will highlight students' achievements in vocal performance and dance.
